Showcase proposal
Thanks for your interest in submitting a Showcase proposal for WOMEX 25, Tampere, Finland, 22-26 October 2025!The Showcase dates are Thursday 23, Friday 24 and Saturday 25 October 2025.
Please see here the steps required in order to complete your application.
Step One
Complete this form, including the following information:- Biography (max 200 words)
- Instrumentation (list each band member's name and their instrument)
- Web Links (including links to online live video footage; broadcast quality is not required)
- Discography
- Upcoming Tours/Gigs in Europe (include the average number of shows per year)
Step two
Finalise the proposal submission fee.Please note: In order to process the fee, you will need a Paypal account.
For countries without Paypal or with internet problems please contact us via email by Friday, 28 February 2025, at the latest and we will find a solution! Our email address is: showcase@womex.com
Step Three
Upload the following information:- Five to ten songs in MP3 format (up to 25 MB per file possible)
- Three to five photos
- Full stage plan
- Full technical rider including backline
- Selected press reviews or other text info

Who?
WOMEX explicitly welcomes proposals from all backgrounds and especially encourages proposals which increase the diversity of the international music scene - be it culturally, regionally or as regards to gender.Our Showcase sets are 45 mins long. Our Jury wants to hear the best from all artists who deserve wider audiences, and have the professional standards to tour.

In case you would like to propose as a DJ/Producer, you will need to complete a Club Summit proposal here.Funding
Please note that WOMEX is unable to cover any fees, travel expenses, or other costs. However, we do provide the stage, the necessary equipment for your performance, local transport to and from the airport and the venue, as well as extensive promotional support, on par with all other WOMEX Showcase artists. This includes promotion of the performance itself, newsletters, online marketing, and more.Additionally, all invited artists will receive free full access to all WOMEX features, along with one complimentary registration for their designated partner or artist representative.
If you wish to propose a showcase, please carefully consider the financing and add this information for the WOMEX Jury to know about any support or funding you have secured.
If you are seeking funding, we strongly recommend reaching out to the Export Office in your country or region.
